Cannabis has been used by both ancient and modern civilizations for millennia as a nutritional and medicinal supplement. It has also been a major agricultural crop used extensively for its fibres and seeds. There has been much interest in the last few years of one of the major cannabinoids found in cannabis, known as CBD. It is believed to have many medicinal properties that were once not widely known and CBD on certain skin conditions is showing much positive potential.
CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid found the majority in the cannabis variety known as hemp. Hemp has primarily been grown for its industrial and nutritional value but has recently come under scrutiny by the medical industry for its many medical benefits such as being an excellent treatment for pain management, anti-anxiety, anti-inflammatory and its neuroprotective potential.
