Medical marijuana is the only treatment method that has had a rather turbulent past than any other form of treatment. It is not easy to obtain medical marijuana from the plant they sell on the street. Medical marijuana is obtained from a very pure, uncut cannabis indica plant. The plant contains hundreds of chemicals that are beneficial to human health. But the most used chemicals, out of hundreds, are two, THC which stands for delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol and Cannabidol (CBD). These two chemicals are also the most dominant of all other chemicals present in the plant.
In the last article, we looked at the illness that medical marijuana treats or improve symptoms. Despite being used to treat a variety of diseases, medical marijuana has not been approved by government agencies like the Federal Drug Administration. One of the main reasons why medical marijuana has received resistance from different quarters is because there has not been done a convincing clinical trial to prove the medical benefits of the cannabis indica plant. But that doesn’t mean that the plant lacks any medical benefits. It has in fact been used for more than a thousand years as a medical therapy. Medical marijuana has a variety of health benefits, especially for seniors.
A huge number of illnesses that medical marijuana treats, are associated with old age. These diseases include;
Hemp is being hailed for its therapeutic value across the globe in recent years and the CBD industry and developing at a phenomenal rate due to public demand.
Cannabidiol or CBD is a major compound found in cannabis sativa. The more commonly known cannabinoid found in cannabis is tetrahydrocannabinol ( THC ), but CBD is fast becoming the cannabinoid of choice for many reasons. Firstly CBD is not psychoactive and therefore does not provide a “high” like other cannabinoids such as THC. Secondly, CBD is legal in most states and countries as long as it contains less than 0.3% THC and extracted from the variety of cannabis known as Hemp. And lastly, CBD, just like THC, has many potential medical and therapeutic benefits. Continue reading Hemp Flower and Hash→

Did you know that the secret to enhancing your cannabis sessions is using less, not more of the drug? It’s true, although it seems counter-intuitive. The less is more rule applies like so: when you stop using cannabis for over a week, it’s almost like hitting the reset button on your tolerance. What is Cannitrol? A specially blended formula with essential ingredients 5-HTP, Ciwujia, and St. Johns Wort. That means Cannitrol is all-natural, organic, and safe, as well as being highly effective. Cannitrol quells the mood swings, lack of focus and sleep that often accompany going cold turkey off of marijuana, and one of the primary reasons why “chronic” users find it so hard to ween themselves off. Even when they know that they will return to cannabis one day, users are put off by the prospect of spending up to two weeks in a fog of emotion and restlessness. 5-HTP is the precursor to Serotonin—the happy feeling neurotransmitter produced naturally by the body—and kicks up your serotonin production to combat the moodiness that creeps in when you ditch the dank stuff. Other ingredients, L-Tyrosine and Valerian Root, are used in traditional Chinese medicine to promote a positive mood and to put that ill at ease feeling to rest. Now you can get on with your life, take that drug test for work (please wait two weeks for THC to evacuate your system), or embark on that project or vacation from weed that you’ve meant to do.
Often people do not get high the first time they smoke cannabis. This phenomena is widely known but not understood. There are a couple reasons why this could be happening such as not inhaling correctly, adrenalin in your body counteracting the cannabinoids amongst others. Remember, relax, inhale and exhale to enjoy to your first smoke.
Indica and Sativa were terms used to identify different species of cannabis and first coined in the 18th century.
